ANDRZEJ SKRZYPKOWSKI

We're thrilled to welcome Andrzej Skrzypkowska to the gallery!

Andrzej Skrzypkowski is a UK-based sculptor born in 1972. With public sculptures in Poland, USA and Dubai, his work reflects personal conflict and inner tension, mirroring the broader human condition. His sculptures embody themes of exile, identity, and the search for meaning, revealing a struggle between opposing forces such as belonging and alienation, strength and fragility, destruction and renewal. These dualities drive his creative process, shaping works that resonate with untold stories and personal healing. Skrzypkowski's sculptures, whether small, intimate pieces or large-scale installations, invite viewers to engage with this conflict. His work uses diverse
materials such as earth, wood, metal, and ceramics to create a tactile,
textured experience that evokes a sense of tension and balance. While
touch plays a role, the emotional and spatial awareness his pieces
foster offers deeper introspection and personal connection. His work
reflects his inner struggles and is a pathway toward reconciliation and
renewal. The themes of personal resurrection through contemplation are
central to his practice, and his pieces offer viewers a space to
confront their internal conflicts. By engaging with his sculptures, the
audience is invited on a journey toward emotional restoration, shaped by
contact with the artwork and their own emotions, as they reflect on the
balance of powers and tensions in their lives.
